Reloading Handbook

Why does my Reloaded round turn to it’s side?
I just completed my first reloads a few days ago. From what I saw the bullet was good. (the specs are below) But today when I went to the range I shot the last 6 bullets I had left of factory ammo .223. I was dead on at 100 yards, one on top of the other. I then go to load the fresh reloads. I shoot and I don’t see the round hit. After 20 bullets I moved to 50 yards, I then see that my bullet is hitting the target sideways in the shape of what you would see from the side of the bullet. I’m not sure what I did wrong or if I missed something. Please help. Thank You

Slow twist+heavy bullet = bad accuracy in a 223. For 75 grain bullets you need a 1in 9 twist, your rifle is 1 in 12 and meant for 50-60 grain bullets. The twist rate just doesn’t put he right spin on the bullet and it want to yawl;which will cause a farther yawl effect and put the bullet sideways and off target. Try 55 grain bullet with a range of 21 to 23.5 (compressed) or BL-C (2),Maybe H322 or H335. The 4895 is a wide spread powder while the others I listed are more tuned to smaller cartridge.
